Vector Files

When dealing with graphic design projects, having the vector file is extremely important. It is similar to the practice of photography, where the negatives are the vector files and the print is the stencil. The vector files are the source of the print and usually cost more than just buying the print itself.

When purchasing the vector file, you are paying for the artist's source. This allows you to easily modify the artist's work in the future, such as changing the font or design. You could also take the vector file to a different company to modify in the future. If you only purchase the stencil, the artist will charge you less with the assumption that you may need their services again in the future.

Therefore, it's important to understand that having vector files included with your stencil is not a given.
